New strip door hardware system saves time & effort
February 9, 2012
Customers looking for the latest innovation in PVC Strip Doors have begun to take advantage of a revolutionary new system that allows the installer to mount PVC strips more than 75% faster than traditional mounting systems. Installation of PVC strip doors has long been a labor-intensive process, that requires the installer to attach nuts and washers onto bolts every 2 inches. For example, on a 12′ wide strip door, 72 nuts and bolts and washers must be attached to the header, requiring someone to balance on a ladder while reaching above their head to perform the tedious process of tightening one by one. Replacing PVC strips is also a chore, with the added step of removing the nuts and washers only to reattach them moments later. The QuickMount, a new mounting system from Clearway, allows the installer to simply press the PVC strip onto the QuickMount peg, securely locking it in place. This installation process has made an impact for many material handling dealers across the United States, contributing to significant time savings on initial installation and completely eliminating any tools from the strip installation process. Todd Ervin, Director of Operations at Clearway, has found the response even more significant than he expected when the product was introduced a few months ago. ”The reaction from the market has been overwhelmingly positive and people are excited to have a better, faster way of installing strip doors”.
